DIY Slimming Body Wrap 4 – Epsom Salt Edition
I don’t know about anyone else but I am quickly becoming a wrap addict. Thought I would try a different kind of wrap this time. This is what I used this time.
In a medium pan I brought 4 cups of water to a boil then added 1 cup of Epsom salt. I stirred well until it was completely dissolved in the water. I then submerged the rolled Ace bandages in the water, minus the wrappers and metal fasteners of course. I removed the pot from the heat and allowed it to cool for about 20-25 minutes. The water was still pretty hot. Use caution and your best judgment as to how much heat you can handle. You want it to be more warm than hot.
When it is cool enough to handle carefully remove the bandages from the water one at a time, ringing out the excess water. Wrap them loosely around you one at a time, starting from the bottom and working your way up. Once you have wrapped yourself in all the bandages then wrap several layers of clear plastic wrap over it and secure it with some tape. I used masking tape and it worked well.
It can drip a little so wear something you don’t mind getting a little wet. Just lay down or sit and relax. I left mine on for 5 hours and lost about 2 inches. Again your results will depend on how long you leave it on. Ideally you want to leave it on 4 to 6 hours. Your skin might be a little dry from the salt. I recommend putting a little lotion on before you wrap with the Ace bandages or just after taking it off or both. Here are my results. Hope your wrap turns out as well as mine did.
