I absolutely love chocolate. The only thing I love more than chocolate is finding new ways to use it. This one is by far one of my favorites. Here is what you will need.

In a small bowl, combine 1 tablespoon unsweetened dark cocoa with about 1/4 cup of unscented lotion. If you don’t have dark cocoa, regular unsweetened cocoa is good too but dark cocoa is better because it has more flavonoids which are what make the magic happen. Here is what it will look like.

You don’t want to skip this next easy step because it only takes a few minutes and makes your wrap more effective. Take a hand towel and wet it down with water as hot as you can stand it. Wring out the excess water then place it on the area you want to wrap for a few minutes until it cools. This opens up the pores, making the wrap twice as effective. I say that is worth the extra time.

Spread a thick layer of the mixture over your skin on the area you want to reduce. Wrap area with several layers of clear plastic wrap and then wrap over the plastic wrap with Ace bandages. Make the bandages just tight enough to stay on. You are leaving this one  for several hours and want to be comfortable and be able to breath.

Sit back and relax for the next 4 to 6 hours. You can move around and go to the bathroom but don’t do too much moving around. Don’t do any housework and keep bending to a minimum. Too much bending and twisting can cause the wrap to roll up on you or the contents to squeeze out, both of which are messy. Watch a movie or read a book. Take a day off and just chill. If you do these are the kind of results you get.

What’s so special about chocolate?

Cocoa can tone and tighten the skin while reviving tired skin. It also draws out toxins and increases circulation.

Go the extra mile with your wrap by taking a hot shower first to open up your pores and heat up your skin. Apply the wrap right after coming out of the shower and your results will be even more unbelievable. When your wrap is over, gently wipe off most of the mixture with a paper towel then massage what is left into your skin.

  • how long did the results last

      The results usually last about a day. It is best to do it the night before or the morning of a hot date or event you want to look skinny for. You can make the wrap more effective if you eat light meals that are low in fat, carbs and sodium like a grilled chicken salad with low fat/sodium dressing. If you follow your wrap with a double cheeseburger it is just going to come right back.

  • can you use chocolate syrup

      No. I would not use chocolate syrup. That is mostly sugar. Cocoa powder is needed to give you the benefits from the natural chocolate.

  • What if the lotion is scented?

      I recommend only plain unscented lotion as the added dyes and perfumes may interfere with the wrap process.

    How many time should you do this to make it last longer?

      You can do it as often as every other day to maintain the results. It is a temporary solution and only lasts about 24 hours at most. Eating light healthy balanced meals and exercising (especially in the core area) also helps. Since it is a cellulite wrap to reduce fat, naturally the less fat you have through diet and exercise the less you have to do it and the easier it is to maintain.

    can you drink green tea while wearing the wrap?

      You can if you like but it is better to drink water. More hydrating as green tea has caffeine and is dehydrating.
