Skinny Dreams – Calming Lavender Daily Detox Bath

The truth is that weight loss and being skinny is about more than just diet and exercise. You need to manage your stress levels and detox your body as well. Stress leads to excess cortisol, a fat storing hormone. In addition, we are exposed to an endless amount of chemicals everyday. In the food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breathe and the products we use daily are all full of chemicals that stay in the body and cause harm as well as unsightly cellulite. No one wants that. So if you want to achieve your skinny dreams you need to detox daily.
Here is a simple relaxing recipe you can use every day and make for pennies at home in your own kitchen to make those dreams come true.
Calming Lavender Daily Detox Bath
2 cup of Epsom salt
1/2 cup of Baking Soda
10 drops of lavender essential oil
In a large bowl add the epsom salt. Stir the essential oil into the epsom salt until well blended. Add the baking soda and stir well to combine. Pour into a large jar with an air tight lid and store for later or use right away.
Dump entire jar into hot running bath water. That’s right. All of it. The bath water should be approximately 40-degrees C or 104-degrees F. Basically as hot as you can stand it. Soak for 20 to 30 minutes. Use daily for best results.
Note: Before emerging in the tub, drink a glass of water and place the cool towel on your head to keep from getting dehydrated or overheating.
The baking soda leaves your skin silky soft while the Epsom salt draws out toxins in your system and helps reduce inflammation. Lavender relaxes you, reducing stress and cortisol levels which cause weight gain. This is not a miracle bath. You will not go in fat and come out skinny a half hour later. It will however help you cleanse your system from the toxins built up throughout the day and help improve your circulation.
This is what results in the weight loss. It is subtle but if you make it a part of your weight loss plan it can help you stay on track with your weight loss goals while remaining stress free.
